CSS Viewer Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CSS Viewer ("the Extension"). By purchasing or using CSS Viewer, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Extension.

1. License & Usage

1.1 License Grant

CSS Viewer is licensed, not sold. Upon purchase, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Extension subject to these Terms. You do not acquire any ownership rights to the Extension or its underlying code.

1.2 Activation Limits

Your license permits up to 3 activations. An "activation" refers to installing and activating the Extension on a single browser profile. This is intended for individual use across your personal devices.

1.3 Free & Pro Tiers

CSS Viewer offers a free tier with core CSS inspection features and a paid Pro tier with additional output formats including SCSS, Tailwind, and JSX. The free tier may be used without a license. A valid license key is required to access Pro features.

1.4 Personal & Commercial Use

Both personal and commercial use are permitted. You may use CSS Viewer for client work, professional projects, and business purposes.

1.5 Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Resell or Redistribute: Sell, sublicense, lease, or distribute your license key or the Extension to any third party.
  • Share Licenses: Share your license key with individuals beyond your permitted activation count.
  • Reverse Engineer: Decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works based on the Extension.
  • Circumvent Protections: Bypass, disable, or interfere with any license validation, security measures, or usage restrictions.
  • Misrepresent Ownership: Claim ownership of or authorship over the Extension or any part thereof.

2. Payment & Refunds

2.1 Pricing

All prices are listed at the point of sale on our Gumroad page and are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Price changes do not affect existing licenses.

2.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider, Gumroad. We do not collect or store your payment information. Your purchase is subject to Gumroad's terms of service and privacy policy.

2.3 Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all purchases:

  • Eligibility: You may request a full refund within 30 days of your original purchase date, no questions asked.
  • How to Request: Contact us at violetsmyster@gmail.com with your order details.
  • After Refund: Upon refund, your license will be revoked and you must immediately cease using Pro features.

Refund requests made after the 30-day period may be considered on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed.

2.4 Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider instead of contacting us for a refund:

  • Your license will be immediately and permanently revoked.
  • We reserve the right to pursue recovery of any costs incurred, including chargeback fees.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

3.1 "As Is" Provision

CSS Viewer is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

3.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy or Compatibility

We do not warrant that:

  • The Extension's CSS output will be accurate, complete, or free from errors.
  • The Extension will function correctly on every website, browser, or system configuration.
  • The Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs.
  • Any errors or defects will be corrected.

3.3 No Liability for Damages

You acknowledge that use of the Extension is at your own risk. We are not responsible for any damages, data loss, system issues, or other harm that may result from using the Extension.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use CSS Viewer.
  • We shall not be liable for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
  • Our total cumulative liability to you for any and all claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Extension shall not exceed the amount you paid for your license.

5. Termination

5.1 Termination by You

You may stop using CSS Viewer at any time. Uninstalling the Extension does not entitle you to a refund outside of the 30-day guarantee period.

5.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to revoke your license, without refund, if you:

  • Violate any provision of these Terms.
  • Share, resell, or redistribute your license key.
  • Initiate a chargeback or fraudulent payment dispute.
  • Attempt to circumvent license validation or security measures.

5.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination of your license, you must immediately cease all use of CSS Viewer's Pro features and uninstall the Extension from all devices. Sections 3, 4, 6, and 7 of these Terms shall survive termination.

6. Governing Law & Disputes

6.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

6.2 Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of CSS Viewer shall be resolved as follows:

  • Informal Resolution: We encourage you to contact us first at violetsmyster@gmail.com to attempt to resolve any dispute informally.
  • Jurisdiction: If informal resolution fails, any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in the United Kingdom.

7. General Provisions

7.1 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of CSS Viewer after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

7.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

7.3 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding CSS Viewer and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
